Wall Bench

The inspiration for this project was to create an object that could save space and be functional at the same time.
We thought at the beginning that we would use hexagons and elastic ropes only to create the wall, but we understood in the process that we need more things in order for it to work.
So we began to create in Rhino forms connected with hinges until we decided to continue with the last form.

First, we created the hinges with 3D Printing technique.

After that we made a spread in AutoCAD for the wood profiles in order to cut them with CNC technique.

We connected the profiles and the hinges with metal pole in order to create stability and mobility to it.
After assembling everything, we connected it to the doorpost with the help of pull-up bar in the upper and lower part.

When we tested it, we understood that in order for it to work we need to fasten the lower part from both sides to the doorpost and then it would get the form of a Bench when you lean on it.
